I visited our island’s only supermarket yesterday and the aisles were teeming with boys like the ones you see in today’s photo posts. Most weren’t even wearing shirts, which I was fine with. 😉 I especially like the no-shirt-ball-cap-backward look on guys like Mr. Blondie to the left here. See the cell phone tucked into his right hip? If I had his number I’d call him and invite him over for a beer. Wouldn’t that be interesting?
I went to bed last night around eleven and I didn’t get up this morning until eleven. That’s twelve hours of sleep, and I think I really needed them. My sinus infection I endured last month has left me tired and I think I will just have to take things easy for a while. Then maybe I’ll get my normal energy level back. Sometimes I simply push myself too hard and then I can’t recover from being sick as quickly as I should. (Slow down, Martin …)
Normally on Fridays I go to the YMCA for a workout, but since I did that yesterday I won’t go again today. Instead I’ll take a three-mile walk on the beach, right after I have lunch. I’ll check out the boys on the shore while I get my daily exercise, and maybe when I get back home I will head into town to shop for a new swimsuit.
As much as I like boardshorts, they are quickly becoming out of fashion, after being so popular for over ten years. Guys are going for suits with short legs and elastic waists now, so that’s what I will be looking for when I shop. Okay, I won’t look nearly as good as the boys in today’s photo posts. (Who could?) But I still want to keep up with what’s going on in beach fashion. (Do I sound like a twat or not?)
Outside the sky is overcast, but the temperature’s warm (about 80 degrees F) and only alight breeze is blowing so I think my beach walk will be pleasant. I always walk barefooted; I like the feel of sand between my toes. Okay, everyone, I need to get busy, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a very happy Friday, wherever you might be today.
