Since everyone liked this morning’s photo post, I thought I would give you all two more “lover boy” photos to warm up your evening.
Today was a huge day for me in a physical sense. (No, I didn’t get laid by Francisco Lachowski.) I was a distance runner ever since my college days; I love running and the way I feel after I burn through three miles. But running destroyed my knees and I had to quit for four years. Last May I had total knee replacement (TKR) surgery on both knees. It has been ten months since the surgery and I have been working at building the strength back up in my legs.
Today, I took a 1-1/2 miles run, here on the island, for the first time in over four years, and the run felt great. My knees and legs were fine, so I guess I am back in the saddle, as they say, and how wonderful that is. I like running because it controls my weight, keeps me sane, and helps me sleep more soundly. What a great day for me …. 🙂
It’s another gorgeous evening, here on the island. The sun is shining, the air is still, and the temperature’s around 77 degrees F. In just a few minutes I’ll grab a shower and then I’ll ascend to our observation deck to drink a couple of beer while I watch the sailboats cruise by.
I love early Spring in Florida ….
Have a nice Wednesday night, all.
