If you’ll check the photos on the sidebar to the right here you will see a photo labeled “Martin’s favorite swimmer.” The boy whose photos I have posted here this morning is the same boy. I know he’s not perfect; he has a little acne on his cheeks and his hair is a mess, but I think he is gorgeous.
These photos were taken many years ago. I know this because not long ago I saw a photo of the same boy, only now he’s a full-grown man. His muscles have grown substantially and his facial features have become more prominent. He’s still beautiful, but not in the same way he was when the earlier photos were taken.
Well, we have to accept change, don’t we?
I was up this morning from one AM to three AM. I was wide awake, and I don’t know why, but there was no use lying in bed, so I hit the keyboard and edited a story I am writing for a couple of hours. Then I slept until nine AM.
Here’s another photo of my boy. I’m thinking someone who attended his swim meets must have lusted for him because the photos have that feel to them. I wonder if the boy even knew he was being photographed? Anyway, I am guessing he’s Australian and his name is something like Malcolm. I wonder where Malcolm is today?
It rained last night, and this morning the sky is overcast. The air is damp and the newspaper says it will rain some more today. It’s okay with me. Right after lunch I’ll drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. (Yeah, my swimmer inspires me …) I actually enjoy my visits to the YMCA, and I always feel good when I leave there.
Two friends I have known for many years are coming to my place this evening, to do a little drinking. Then we’ll go out for dinner at a seafood place just down the road from here. It’ll be a nice evening.
Have a great Friday, everyone.
