Today is a “lover boys” day, so here are two more of my favorite photos of guys you can tell are very much in love.
I saw something someone posted in Facebook the other day. It said that love is the cruelest drug there is. Well, I understand why someone might say that. After all, there is nothing worse than loving someone who doesn’t love you. Or breaking up with someone you care for deeply. It can make your stomach ache. I know, I have been there. It is true that falling in love involves a good deal of risk. If things don’t work out you can be miserable for months. But I think love’s worth taking that chance.
“We aren’t meant to be alone in this world.
“I didn’t always think so. For a long time, I lived a solitary existence. But then I found a man I could love and he changed my life completely.
“His name is Samuel.
“Listen: love never drops into your lap. What you see in movies isn’t real; you have to work for love. Sometimes it takes years; the journey can be difficult. You give and then you give more. It is always a struggle, but you mustn’t quit because—in the end—love’s worth the price you pay for it.
“That’s what I believe, anyway.”
I guess I share the narrator’s philosophy. Love’s never easy, but you have to have the balls to give it a chance. Otherwise you will never know the exquisite joy of living with someone you adore.
It’s beautiful here tonight: sunny, breezy, and only about 75 degrees F. I had a great workout at the YMCA this afternoon, and then I took a three-mile walk on the beach when I came home. I love spring in Florida. 🙂
Have a nice Monday night, friends.
