More sad boys; pretty night on the island ….

sad boy #12Hi, friends and readers:

I’m not trying to bum anybody out, but I said today would be a “sad boy photos” day and I’m sticking to my guns. I find both photos I’m posting here tonight to be quite beautiful and moving. Again, the photos make you wonder why the boys in them look so sad.

It’s been a good afternoon. My doctor proclaimed me to be in excellent health. I got my haircut, and two cute boys were there waiting for their turn in the chair, so I had some nice things to look at. I hit the meat market on the way home, and then I took a 1-1/2 mile run, here on the island, which felt really good.

It’s around 6:30 PM now and I have a meatloaf baking in our kitchen oven. That’s not a dish I often make–only a few times a year–but I was in the mood and my boyfriend loves it, so he’ll be happy.

sad boy #13It’s a pretty night on the island. The sun is shining, the humidity is low, and there’s a nice breeze blowing–a perfect early May evening. My boyfriend’s keeping busy with a household project while I write these words, and we’ll dine in about an hour.

Earlier we discussed going bowling tonight–I’d like to go; I really would– but I woke up this morning around six AM and I don’t know how long I will last tonight. We’ll see ….

By the way, the young man to the left looks awfully distressed, just sitting there naked on the carpet and pulling at his hair. Do you think maybe his boyfriend and he just had a fight?

Okay, I have a few things to do before dinner comes out of the oven, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Thursday night, wherever you might be this evening.
