You guys know how much I adore good black-and-white photography, especially when the subject is a good-looking young man like Mr. Wavy Hair to the left here. I have no idea what his name is or how old the photo is, but have you ever seen such a beautiful guy? I’ll bet he’d be a handful in the bedroom …. 😉
I’m up early this morning because I have a medical appointment with the eye doctor at 9:15. I was up at 7:15 AM, but I didn’t have tome to walk on the beach, so I made a hasty breakfast and now I’m making this post before I have to drive into town.
This is the first morning my boyfriend is working at his summer internship, in a city about an hour’s drive south of here, so I woke up alone, and it was kind of a weird feeling. We are very close, and I suppose the separation is hard on both of us, but the internship lasts only eight weeks, and then he’ll be back.
Last night, while I ate dinner, I watched the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team pull off an upset win over Pittsburgh in the NHL East playoff series. The Lightning now lead 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, which now returns to Tampa Bay. The game went into overtime; it was really exciting.
By the way, do you find the photo to the left as intriguing as I do. Why is the boy naked, and why is he holding a basketball while seated on a bench near a window? Is he mourning the loss of a basketball game? I love the way the light coming through the window highlights portions of the boy’s body. The photo has a sort of “locker room” feel to it that takes me back to my high school days.
Outside, it’s sunny and the day is heating up. Since it’s a Monday, right after lunch I will drive into town to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming in the indoor pool. I’m not sure what I’ll do with the rest of my day, but I’ll certainly work on my novel-in-progress when I get home.
Have a nice Monday, everyone.
