When I was in college and law school I wore my hair long; it grew past my shoulders and I think it looked pretty good. But it was a pain in the ass to take care of. I had to use conditioner after I shampooed, and I was always having to brush it to keep it free of tangles. And it was always falling into my eyes too. After I graduated from law school, I had my hair cut short, and I’ve kept it that way ever since. I like it better short. But having said all that I think the guys in today’s photo posts look wonderful with their long hair framing their handsome faces. Who’d pass up a date with either of them?
U-m-m-m … no one.
I woke at 7:30 this morning to take my usual three-mile walk on the beach. Already it was hot and humid down there. Florida’s experiencing record high temperatures right now, and folks are huddling in the air conditioning to stay comfortable. But I took a swim in the Gulf afterward, and then I took a cool shower on our patio. It felt great.
I picked my boyfriend up from the airport yesterday around 5:30 PM, and we spent a very nice evening together at home. I grilled pork chops and after dinner we watched some of the Democratic convention before we hit the bed. We were both tired after our travels.
I have a busy day ahead of me. Sunday we are flying up to Maine to spend ten days in both Maine and Canada. So we have laundry to do and preliminary packing to complete. I have to make a half-dozen phone calls in preparation for the trip. Right after lunch we’ll drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. We’re hosting two friends for dinner tonight, and I’ll need to pick up food for the evening on the way home. These two guys are old friends I went to grade school with, and we always enjoy their company.
Anyway, I need to get busy, so I will close this post by wishing everyone a great Friday, wherever you might be today.
