If you follow this website then you know I am a huge fan of black-and-white photography because, in my view, it focuses more on subject matter and less on color. At least once a week I try to feature a few black-and-white photos that I really like, and the photos I’ve posted here this morning are two of my favorites. I mean, have a look at Mr. Smooth Torso to the left here. Hopefully he lost that shirt right after the photo was taken. 😉
I slept until 8:30 this morning, but I still managed to get in a three-mile walk on the beach before conditions got too warm. I had a wonderful swim in the Gulf of Mexico afterward, and then I walked home bathed in a nice easterly breeze. Sadly, I did not see Mr. Smooth Torso during my walk. 🙁
Now, this photo to the left is one I have posted before. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and not just because the young man is beautiful, but because I love the way the photographer captured the water exploding from the boy’s head. Amazing ….
Because I’ve been absent from home for most of the past two months, I have a lot of correspondence and paperwork to catch up on, and I will dedicate a large part of today to that purpose. It’s not fun, of course, but it’s necessary, and at least I can work in my air conditioned house where things stay nice and cool.
I’m not sure what’s in store for tonight, but maybe we’ll go out someplace for a few beers, or maybe we’ll take a swim at our timeshare. I’m just glad to be back on the island.. Have a great Saturday, everyone.
