I’ve dated a lot of guys in my time, ever since I came out as gay in my law school days. But I never dated a boy with freckles on his nose and cheeks, and I wish I had. For some reason I find freckles incredibly sexy. I mean, check out the boys in this morning’s photo posts. I could spend hours running my lips over their faces. Oh, yeah …. 😉
It’s four AM on Sunday and I am wide awake with “The Midnight Disease” as my favorite writer, Michael Chabon, calls it. Certain days I wake up in the middle of the night, feeling like I just drank three cups of coffee. I immediately know I will not be able to go back to sleep, so I have to get out of bed and write for a while. So, here I am, tapping away at the keyboard while my boyfriend is in dreamland. Hey, I’ll deal with it.
Okay, check out Mr. Necklace to the left here. In my college days puka shell necklaces were super popular with guys, but no longer. Anyway, I think his freckles are pretty damned sexy. Imagine spending a day at the beach with him? Aye-yi-yi ….
Last night we drove into the city to visit a craft brewery, and after two very tasty beers we moved to a Mexican cantina for dinner. Ah-h-h-h, such tasty tacos and refried beans. Then we moved to a gay bar for a cocktail before taking an Uber back to the house so we didn’t have to drive after drinking. (Yeah, we do that now. Driving after drinking just doesn’t equate anymore.) We hit the bed early, which is maybe why I am up now, but that’s okay.
Listen, since my return from Maine and Canada I have failed to thank everyone who visited this website during my absence. I appreciate your loyalty, and I hope your August has been as pleasant as mine. I’ll be living on the island for the next few months, almost non-stop. And I’ll post daily again, as I normally do.
Have a nice Sunday, friends.
