I guess all gay men have a place in their hearts that yearns for the company of a young blond guy. See the boy to the left here? He looks exactly like a grocery clerk who has worked at out island supermarket for the past five years, a young man who I’ve always lusted for. Sadly, he no longer works there, so I don’t see him anymore. Life’s so unfair …. 🙁
I slept in late this morning, for no particular reason. When I got up, I read the Sunday newspaper from cover to cover, and now it’s almost noon. After we share lunch, it’ll be time for my boyfriend and me to engage in more preparation tasks for our termite tenting that occurs tomorrow. This will involve removing all the food from our kitchen and refrigerator and placing it at our friend’s house next door. Then we have to pack our clothing, food and toiletries for a three-day stay at a friend’s house in the city. What a drag, but it’s necessary.
It’s a beautiful fall day, here on the island. The sun is shining, a nice little breeze is blowing, and the temperature is in the mid-70’s, which makes things just about perfect. At least we’ll have decent conditions while we perform our drudge work.
Oh, did I mention that today is my birthday? Well it is, and I won’t mention just how old I am, but suffice it to say that I am no youngster. Aging does not bother me, really. Every day is a gift. I have good health, financial security, and the privilege of doing whatever I damned well please when I get up in the morning. And what could be better than that?
You have to count your blessings in life; you really do. If all you do is to focus on the negatives in your life, you are doing yourself a disservice. Have a nice Sunday, everyone.
