I posted a photo of River Phoenix yesterday, and I received so many positive comments on the photo that I decided to post another two today. I don’t know why I found River so appealing. I guess it was a combination of his androgynous facial features, his thick and flowing hair, and the way he could transform himself into any character he ever portrayed. How sad that he died so young ….
It’s a beautiful day, here on the island: sunny, breezy and warm, about 78 degrees. I just finished my lunch, and after I complete this post I will take a three-mile walk on the beach for some exercise. I’m still suffering the after-effects of the cold I caught in Wisconsin, so no running for me today.
My New Year’s Eve was pretty tame. I shared a bottle of wine with a good friend on my observation deck before I grilled a steak for dinner. Then I got a blaze going in our fire pit, out on the patio. I’m afraid I did not make it until midnight; I started dozing off, and then my boyfriend woke me and sent me to bed. 🙁
Tonight I’ll grill pork chops, and then at 8:30 PM my boyfriend and I will watch the Green Bay Packers try to win their NFC division by beating the Detroit Lions. Okay, it’s not a very exciting New Year’s Day, but it works for me. Have a nice Sunday, everyone.
