Hi, friends and readers: At least one a week I like to post some of my favorite black-and-white photos, and I decided today would be a good time to post another two for your viewing pleasure.
Have a look at Mr. Curly Hair to the left here. When I was in law school my boyfriend at the time had hair exactly like that, and I remember how much I enjoyed running my fingers through his hair when we kissed or did other, more intense things. Ah, memories …. 😉
I woke this morning to the sound of rain falling. By now the rain has stopped but the sky is overcast and I think it may start raining again soon. It’s okay, we’ve had an extremely dry fall and winter and we need the moisture. I know the shrubs in my yard are loving it. In Florida I suppose we focus on weather much more than most places because it has a greater impact on our lives, especially on a coastal island like ours.
Do you find this second photo as interesting as I do? I’m guessing it was taken in a locker room. Notice how the boy is focused on the basketball in his hands? Maybe he’s re-living the game he just played in, and how he might have played better. I love the way the light coming in the window plays on his skin and hair. Really nice work ….
It’s almost eleven AM right now, and I am done writing for the morning. Ordinarily I would take a three-mile walk before lunch, but I’m afraid I might get drenched if I do, so I guess I’ll take care of some correspondence instead. After lunch I’ll have to drive into the city for a follow-up appointment with my eye doctor. Then I’ll have errands to run.
Tonight I’ll return to the city to have a few beers and share a meal with an old friend who is sort of housebound these days, due to mental illness issues he’s dealing with. Look, you do thing for your friends when they’re down, right?
Have a nice Thursday, friends.
