It’s the second week of March, and every year at this time college students from the northern states flock to my island in droves. This will go on for 5-6 weeks. I went to our island supermarket yesterday and groups of college kids were all over the store buying beer, snacks, and soda. All of them were dressed in swim trunks, t-shirts and flip-flops. And so many of the boys were…oh so hot. 😉
Many of my neighbors loath this time of year, but not me. The sights are stellar and the kids are fun. Most are well-behaved, albeit a little sloppy from all the beer they consume. Hey, let them have fun, I say.
It’s an absolutely gorgeous day, here on the island: sunny, warm, and breezy. The birds are singing and the breeze is rustling the fronds on my coconut palms. Because today is Wednesday I should be driving into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. But the day is just to beautiful to waste on spending time indoors. I’ll skip the YMCA and take a three-mile walk on the beach instead. Then maybe I’ll take a two-mile run later this afternoon.
Hey, notice how the boy in the photo to the left appears in color while the people in the background are shown in black-and-white? How did the photographer do that? Anyway, I think Mr. Sunglasses and Backward Ball Cap is pretty darned hot. I wonder if I’ll encounter him when I walk the beach this afternoon? I sure hope so. 😉
Have a nice Wednesday, everyone.
