It’s an absolutely beautiful day, here on the island. So nice, in fact, that I eschewed going to the YMCA for my normal exercise regimen. Instead I took a three-mile walk before having lunch.
After lunch I got industrious. I put down sex bags of cypress mulch out in my front yard. I raked up leaves and swept the sidewalks. Then I gave my car an good cleaning, inside and out. I didn’t even mind doing all the work because the weather was so pleasant: sunny and cool, with just a light breeze. Now it’s nearly four PM and I am feeling a little tired but satisfied with the results of my labors.
Our beach, here on the island, is packed with Spring Breakers today. They come here in groups from all over the country, and so many of the guys are sexy with their lean and gym-toned bodies. It’s hard not to stare when I’m walking the shore, but I try to be subtle. Well, sort of ….
I don’t really have any plans for this evening, other than doing some edits on my novel-in-progress and also preparing some promotional materials my publisher asked me to do for an upcoming novel of mine that will release within the next month.
So, I have a clean car, a neatened-up yard and my patio fountain is gurgling just outside the windows where I am sitting as I write these words. What a great first day of spring. Have a nice Monday, all.
