When I was in college I grew my hair out till it was well past my shoulders. I have thick and very straight brown hair and I thought it looked pretty good. I kept it that way until I graduated from law school, and then I had it cut for my job interviews. I’ve kept it short ever since.
Certain guys look great with long hair, I think. Like the the two young men in today’s photo posts. The boy in the upper photo reminds me of a friend in college who was one of my earliest lovers. Sadly, our affair didn’t last long. 🙁
I was up at seven AM this morning, and out the door at 7:30 to take my usual three-mile walk on the beach. It was breezy down there and the Gulf was churning, but I was still comfortable in a t-shirt and swim trunks. There were not many people at the shore. I enjoyed looking at the clouds in the sky and seabirds hopping around in the sand.
I have a lot on my mind right now. I’m still a bit emotionally raw from breaking up with my boyfriend of seven years, so of course I was thinking about him. But I was also focusing on my future and where I want it to go. A lot is happening with my writing career right now. I’m in excellent health and feeling good. Do I want to look for another boyfriend right away or just enjoy being single for a while?
I had two good friends out for dinner last night, and we really enjoyed ourselves. They got here around six PM and we spent maybe 90 minutes on my observation deck, drinking beer and wine and enjoying the wonderful weather. Then I served dinner, leftover casserole, garlic bread, and a tossed salad. We shared a lot of laughs, and I could tell my guests enjoyed their food since they ate up everything.
Today will be a typical Monday for me. I’ll work on a writing project this morning. Then, after lunch, I’ll drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming in the indoor pool. I have no plans for my evening, but a trip to my timeshare for a dip in the pool might be in order. Have a nice Monday, everyone.
