Cute, shirtless boys; nice morning on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I haven’t posted since May fourth, and it’s because I’ve been so damned busy. Friday morning my ex-partner and I drove northward to retrieve our boat from a marina where it was being serviced. We trailered the boat back to the marina where we normally keep it for use at our fishing camp. Then we returned the trailer to the place where we keep it. Once the trailer was stowed we took the boat up to our fishing camp, where we stayed Friday night.

Unfortunately, the weather at the camp was very windy, to the point that we could not even fish. So, we left camp mid-day Saturday and drove back to the island where I live. We did some fishing off the seawall down the street, and then I grilled pork chops over charcoal for our dinner. After we cleaned up the kitchen, my ex-partner built a blaze in our fire pit, and we spent a pleasant hour out there before he departed and I got in bed to read.

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning, here on the island: sunny, not too warm, and just a little breezy. I’ll take a three-mile walk on the short later this morning, and then I’ll take a two-mile run around four PM.

See the boy to the left? About two months ago I finished a full-length novel about two college-age boys who travel from Orlando to San Jose in a panel van. One of the boys is named Terrence, and I used this boy’s photo to create Terrence’s physical appearance. I think he’s mighty cute. Do you agree?

Other than reading the Sunday newspaper and getting my exercise, I don’t have a lot planned for today. I even have leftovers from my Thursday dinner, so I won’t have to cook. I’ll just have a relaxing day, and how nice is that? All right, everyone, the newspaper is calling me, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a pleasant Sunday, wherever you might be.
