If you are a gay man, then nothing else in life compares to waking up in bed next to your boyfriend. It is one of life’s greatest gifts, one I just lost six weeks ago, and I’m still not over it.
I don’t think we are meant to live alone. Having a partner you are compatible with is what everyone needs. And hopefully I will find another in the months ahead, a guy I kind travel with and laugh with and share a bed with.
Last night I attended a “celebration of life” in remembrance of my next-door neighbor who died last November. She was in her mid-eighties. It was a wonderful event, one I will never forget. I love you, Hazel.
Since today is Monday, right after lunch I will drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming in the indoor pool. It’s an important activity for me, especially right now when I’m feeling down about life. Routine is good.
Have a nice Monday, friends, wherever you might be today.
