I live in a boating community; I’m surrounded by water. I also own a power boat I keep at a marina near my fishing camp, so I’m on the water a lot.
It’s funny, when you put a young man on a boat, it’s not long before he starts peeling off clothing. If you’re in a private setting, he might even get naked, like the guy in the upper photo here. Nice butt, eh? He’d better put some sun screen on those cheeks before they get red.
I hit the beach for a three-mile walk about 8:30 this morning. It was super nice down there: sunny but not too warm, with just a little breeze to keep things comfortable. Today was the first day this year that I took a dip in the Gulf of Mexico after my walk. The water was cool, but not too cool, so I enjoyed my experience. When I got home I rinsed off under my outdoor shower and it felt great.
After a quick breakfast, I got busy writing new material for my novel-in-progress, and I wrote some pretty good passages. After I broke up with my ex-partner my brain wasn’t working too well for about five weeks, but now it’s returning to normal and I am ready to write a few hours every day of the week. It feels good to watch the words flow form my brain onto my computer screen.
I have an easy day ahead of me. Right after lunch I will make my weekly run to the wine market to re-stock my supply. I have some light housework to do, and then I’ll take a two-mile run, here on the island, for additional exercise.
Around four PM I will meet up with a good friend who lives a half-hour south of here. We’re going to have drinks and dinner together, and I will spend the night at his home. Then he’ll drop me off at my car on his way to work tomorrow morning. It’s always a pleasant way to spend an evening, and a nice change of atmosphere.
All right, everyone, I need to get busy with my chores, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Tuesday, wherever you might be today.
