Ever attended a triathlon? Well I have, and I can tell you that some of the sights I’ve seen were nothing less than amazing. A triathlon involves swimming a half-mile, running three miles, and biking 14 miles. The participants have to be in peak physical condition, and their bodies show it. 😉
One of my goals is to complete a triathlon one day, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able too. The hardest part would be the swimming portion. I mean, I swim 1/4-mile at the YMCA at least twice a week, but could I do a half-mile? Who knows?
I’m posting late today because I’ve been busy working on edits on a novel I’ll have coming out later this summer. The book’s under contract and my editors are real perfectionists, which is good. I only took a break from edits to take a three-mile walk on the beach earlier, which was a sweaty affair. It’s very warm and humid here today.
It’s about four PM here, and I just cracked open a cold can of beer. It’s a Miller Lite in one of those 16 ounce aluminum cans that seem to enhance the flavor of the beer. Plus they get nice and cold. I don’t drink that much beer anymore; it’s too filling. But I enjoy a couple of cans each day.
By the way, do you find the young man to the left as appealing as I do? I know he’s skinny, but that’s part of his charm. And you know he’s in superb physical condition. I’ll bet he’d be a tiger in the bedroom. 😉
I don’t have a lot planned for my evening. I think I’ll be sharing a bottle of wine with my good friend and neighbor, and then I’ll cook stir-fried chicken and veggies to blend with pasta. It’s a tasty dish and there are always leftovers. When you’re living single leftovers are a blessing, you know. Have a nice Sunday evening, friends.
