If you follow this website then you know I live in a very pretty beach community on Florida’s Gulf Coast. And at this time of year our beach gets invaded every weekend by people who want to enjoy the sun, sand and surf. Among them are plenty of college-age boys who wear little other than swim trunks of varying styles, and I never miss an opportunity to take a stroll along the shore to check out all that smooth and rippling flesh. Yummy. 😉
I got up super-early this morning, right around six AM, and I was out the door at 6:30 AM for a three-mile walk on the beach. The sun was just coming up in the east and things were real pretty down there. I took a swim afterward, then came home and took a pleasant outdoor shower on my fenced-in patio. It’s fun showering under the open sky, you know. After I fixed a simple breakfast I got busy writing new material for my novel-in-progress, which is now at 20,000 words.
Once I finished writing new material I got busy on the first edits my publisher sent my on a novel I’ll have coming out in September. I don’t really mind the editing process as good and thorough editing can really improve a book’s quality. I worked until around one PM, and then I shifted to correspondence.
Around two PM I took a two-mile run, here on the island, and since the sky was overcast it was actually bearable. In fact I enjoyed the run. (No joke.)
In about an hour I will drive into the city to watch a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game with an old friend I don’t see as often as I should. We’ll drink a few beers and have some laughs, and then after the game I’ll head back to my little island for dinner.
Have a nice Saturday, everyone.
