As those of you who follow this site know, I adore good quality black-and-white photography, especially when the subject of a particular photo is an attractive young man. I mean, check out Mr. Chain Link Fence to the left here. He’s such a beautiful guy: great face and hair, nice physique, perfect boyfriend material. 😉
Well, I spent a very enjoyable evening with my ex-partner last night. I cooked dinner for us–baked chicken in a mushroom sherry sauce–and then we took a nice walk through his new neighborhood. The house he has rented is older but quite nice. His yard is completely shaded by towering live oaks festooned with Spanish moss. The house is bright and has a pleasantly open feel to it. I think he’s going to enjoy living there. I spent the night down there and then we drove back to my place this morning so he could pick up his car.
I spent the better part of my morning tending to correspondence that had stacked up in recent days, and now that’s all taken care of. My desk looks so clean now. 🙂 There’s a certain sense of satisfaction I get when I get nuisances out of my life, and there’s also something to be said for neatness. I keep my house fairy tidy (within reason) and right now it looks good, inside and out.
It’s blazing hot outside today, so I’m not going to do anything outdoors until around four PM, when we’ll hopefully have a breeze and I can take a two mile run, here on the island, without dying of heat stroke.
Have a pleasant Sunday, friends. And keep smiling. 🙂
