When I was in high school all the guys wore white briefs from Sears, J.C. Penney, or Fruit of the Loom. When I took P.E. the school required all us boys to shower at the end of class, which made for some interesting sights when guys peeled off their briefs. The photos I’ve posted here this morning ring back those memories. 😉
Well, last night I attended our neighborhood Labor Day celebration. The food everyone brought was oh-so-good, everything from meatballs, corn-on-the-cob, fresh tomato salad and homemade brownies. I pigged out, then came home and crashed on my back porch.
It’s officially Labor Day today and the beach down the street form my house will most certainly be mobbed with folks picnicking and enjoying the surf and sun, but I won’t be joining them. Instead, right after lunch, I’ll dive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. The exercise will do me good. On the way home I’ll pick up some beer and wine, since I’m out of both, and then I’ll have leftovers for my Labor Day dinner.
Okay, none of that sounds very exciting, but I’m fine with it. Have a wonderful Labor Day, friends, wherever you might be today. And keep smiling, it’s important. 🙂
