Sexy guys from my laptop; I survived Hurricane Irma ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I’m writing this post at my ex-partner’s home since I still don’t have any electrical service at my island home after Hurricane Irma rocked the Tampa Bay area.

I’m happy to report that I am safe and sound, and that my home was not damaged at all, which is somewhat miraculous, considering I’m only 100 yards from the Gulf of Mexico. But the storm jogged eastward at the last minute and that movement spared Tampa Bay from any serious damage. I rode the storm out at a friend’s house in St. Petersburg, and returned home Monday afternoon. I spent two nights at home with no electricity, which was pretty miserable but gave me the time to get things back in order. I didn’t even have a broken screen or anything. Just a whole bunch of tree debris. I’m hoping I’ll have electrical service by Friday, but that’s very much up in the air right now.

It’s nice being in a home tonight where there is electrical power. The air conditioning feels oh so good and I know I’ll sleep well tonight.

Oh, but the way, the photos I’m posting here this evening come from my laptop which make it kind of difficult for me to select the photos I want, since I rarely use the laptop anymore, only when I travel. But I still think both guys are pretty damned cute. Don’t you?

Anyway, thanks to of you who messaged me in recent days, voicing your concerns for my safety. I spent two days cleaning up yard debris and now you’d never know my home endured a hurricane. Lucky me.

Have a nice Wednesday, everyone.

  1. Well, I am happy to hear you and your home survived Irma so well. I was worriing about you because I could not leave a message earlier: no contact possible was the screenmessage.
I hope things wil be normal soon over there.
    Best wishes: Henri.

  2. I am thankful to learn that you (and less importantly, your home) survived the devastation of Irma. I have no family or close friends in Florida, but I am still very concerned about several friends who live in St. Croix. Peace and best wishes to you!
