Pardon me while I rant ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Most people who write me via this website are very nice. They thank me for the photos and thoughts I post and for taking the time to create them. I always appreciate their kind words.

Then there are the jackasses who offer unsolicited criticism of me, my writing and my website. Today some jerk told me I shouldn’t talk about the word count I’ve reached when I’m writing a novel-in-progress. I didn’t bother to respond because talking to people like him is a waste of time. The photos I’ve posted here are the appropriate response to such critics.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I woke to the sound of rain pounding my roof this morning. Then my alarm beeped, but instead of getting up I turned the alarm off and promptly went back to sleep for two hours.

Now I’m up and enjoying a light breakfast. The aroma of brewing coffee wafts through my house and I am feeling quite contented. My only problem is that the rain soaked my newspaper and now I have it drying out on my dining table chairs. 🙁

I have an easy day ahead of me. After breakfast I’ll write new material for a while. I’ll read the paper when it finally dries out, and take care of correspondence. After lunch I’ll get some yard work done, and then I’ll take a two-mile run, here on the island. Since it’s Thursday, I’ll drive into the city around 5:30 PM to spend the evening with one of my oldest friends.

Have a great day, friends. Keep smiling.

Best friends sharing life and a nice Walt Whitman poem ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Every guy in his teens and twenties deserves to have a best friend to share his days with. My best friend’s name was Curtis. I met him when I was thirteen, and we became inseparable. We even roomed together at the University of Florida. Curtis wasn’t gay. Our friendship did not involve sex. We just enjoyed each other’s company, and we loved to laugh.

Two days ago, I posted a photo of two boys on the bow of a sailboat. One boy was holding the other’s waist. You could tell from the photo that the two were best of friends. In response, my friend John sent me the following poem by Walt Whitman who, of course, was gay at a time when homosexuality was verboten. I love Whitman’s poem. Thanks again for sharing, John.

WE TWO BOYS TOGETHER CLINGING

by Walt Whitman

We two boys together clinging,
One the other never leaving,
Up and down the roads going, North and South excursions making,
Power enjoying, elbows stretching, fingers clutching,
Arm’d and fearless, eating, drinking, sleeping, loving,
No law less than ourselves owning, sailing, soldiering, thieving, threatening,
Misers, menials, priests alarming, air breathing, water drinking,
on the turf or the sea beach dancing,
Cities wrenching, ease scorning, statutes mocking, feebleness chasing,
Fulfilling our foray.

I rose at 7:30 AM this morning, and I walked three miles on the beach before the day got too warm. Conditions were still and humid down there, but I enjoyed my walk. A group of dolphins was chasing a pod of bait fish, which was lots of fun to watch.

I took a swim in the Gulf after my walk, and then returned to my house to shower on my patio. I brewed coffee and made a simple breakfast, and then I got to work writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, now at 30,500 words and chugging right along.

Now it’s 11:15, and I am done writing for the day. In a half-hour or so I’ll have a quick lunch, and then I’ll drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming session. I’ll hit the supermarket on the way home, and maybe I’ll pick up some fresh fish for my dinner.

Have a great Wednesday, friends. Keep smiling. 🙂

Lover boys getting close; errands afternoon for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I really enjoy photos of two male lovers getting affectionate with each other, especially in public places. When I was a young man I would never dream of kissing my partner in public, but you see it fairly often now, and I think it’s refreshing. Anyway, I’m sharing two “lover boys” photos with you this morning. I like both a lot, do you?

I was up around 7:30 AM today. I took a nice three-mile walk on the beach, and then I took a delightful swim in the Gulf. The water temperature was just right, and there weren’t too many waves. Things were nice and calm. I came home feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

I spent 2-1/2 hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, pretty good stuff, actually, and then I read the newspaper before I fixed myself some lunch.

Now it’s almost one PM and I have much to do this afternoon. Tuesday afternoons are my “get shit done” times, and today I have a load of errands to run. I’ll hit the wine market first, to re-stock my shelf. Then I’ll visit the bank. Next I’ll go to the DMV to renew my driver’s license (Always fun.) and then I have to pick up some window screens I had repaired. I need to hit the office supply store also. So, my poor Honda Element will be chugging around for a while.

When I get back home I’ll take a two-mile run, here on the island, and then my evening is free. I’ll do some editing tonight , working on what I wrote this morning. Then maybe I’ll watch a Netflix movie. Have a nice Tuesday, friends.

Sexy guys and swimming pools; typical Monday in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

In Florida, particularly during the summer months, swimming pools are a big deal. If you’re going to be outdoors during summer, about the only way it’s bearable is to soak in a pool. And if you’re lucky, you’ll have a good-looking guy or two to share the pool with. 😉

Ker-splash!

I was up at 5:30 this morning, I’m not sure why. But it was too early to do anything, so I stayed in bed and read for 90 minutes until the sun came up. Then I put on my swimsuit and headed for the beach. I walked three miles along the shore and it was nice down there. Very few people were around but there were plenty of seabirds.

I took a nice swim in the Gulf after my walk and the water was a little cooler than usual for July because of all the rain we had yesterday. I returned home feeling refreshed, and after an outdoor shower I fixed breakfast. Then I got busy on my novel-in-progress, which is now approaching 28,000 words.

Since today is Monday, right after lunch I’ll d rive my Element into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and a lap-swimming session. I always enjoy my visits there because, after spending all morning by myself it’s good to talk with some of the regulars I know there.

I don’t really have any plans for my evening. Maybe I’ll share a bottle of red wine with my friend and neighbor, if he’s up to it. And I’ll work on editing the fresh material I wrote this morning. Have a great Monday, everyone. Keep smiling. 🙂

Hot boys on boats; gloomy day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I live on an island on Florida’s Gulf Coast and boats are everywhere in my community. It’s no secret that young guys are fascinated by boating, and they tend to lose their inhibitions when they’re afloat.

The two boys to the left here seem to be enjoying themselves, don’t they? I wonder where that photo was taken, and exactly what sort of relationship those two boys have with each other? Are you think what I’m thinking? 😉

I woke to the sound of rain pounding my roof this morning. I mean it was pouring, and the storm kept on for hours. The rain finally stopped around 10:30 AM, but the sky has remained overcast all day.

Check out Mr. Cutie to the left here. Do you you think he’s enjoying himself on that boat? I’ll bet he his. And I’m enjoying looking at him.

Yummy …..

Well, I took a three-mile walk on the beach around 1:30 this afternoon. There were not many people down there because the sun wasn’t shining. But I enjoyed the walk very much. It was nice to get outdoors. I also took a two-mile run, here on the island, around 3:30, and it was actually pleasant because the air wasn’t too warm.

Now it’s a little past five PM and I am here at home by myself. I bought fresh shrimp at our neighborhood seafood market for tonight’s dinner. I’ll team that was a garden salad for a nice meal. Have a great Sunday, friends.

Beautiful guys with long hair; cloudy and steamy day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

When I was college and law school I wore my hair long; it grew past my shoulder, and I thought it looked pretty good. But it was a pain in the ass to take care of, so when I finished law school and started looking for a job, I had my hair cut short and that’s the way it’s stayed ever since.

I’m putting up photos of two guys with long hair who I think are quite sexy. See the guy in the upper photo? Believe it or not, my first partner, who I lived with for over twenty years, looked just like him. Same hair, facial features and body. Lucky me, eh?

I got up around nine this morning, after spending Friday evening watching baseball on TV at a friend’s house. It was a nice evening, although the Rays lost to Texas 4-3 in extra innings. 🙁

I spent my morning writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, and after I read the newspaper I made myself some lunch. Now it’s 1:30 PM. Outside the sky is overcast, but conditions are still warm and muggy. 🙁

My ex-partner is coming over this afternoon to do some studying for his bar exam. Tonight we’ll share a pizza and I’ll make a salad, and maybe we’ll go for a swim at my timeshare down the street. I have errands to run this afternoon, and I plan to take a three-mile walk on the beach around 3:30 PM when the breeze normally picks up. I’ll take a dip in the Gulf afterward, which should be nice.

Have a great Saturday, friends, wherever you might be today.

Sexy little video for you spanking aficionados ….

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 95

Hi, friends and readers:

There are many daddy/son relationships in the gay subculture. That’s a proven fact. And it’s also true that spankings play an integral part in such relationships. Spankings remind the son that he is not the decision-maker, that there are rules to be followed and consequences when they are not.

Anyway, I know many of you find spankings sexy, and for you I’m providing a link to a video where a daddy provides his son with a serious dose of bare bottom discipline. There’s nothing fake about this session. Youch ….

http://thepaddedpunk.tumblr.com/post/163038761431

It’s dreadfully hot on the island today. I didn’t get to go to the YMCA because I had a window and screen repairman coming to the house about one PM, so I’m stuck here for the day. 🙁

Have a nice Friday, everyone.

Hot boys in basketball shorts; another steamy day on the island ….

Hi, friends and readers:

There’s a park about ten blocks form my house, here on the island where I live. It features two full basketball courts that are quite popular with the young men in our beach community. Sometimes I’ll go for a bike ride, and if there’s a game going on I’ll pause for a few minutes to watch the action.

Invariably, the guys all shed their shirts, so they’re running up and down the court dressed only in basketball shorts, and the sights can be pretty amazing. All that sweaty flesh is on display and ….

Okay, on to other matters.

It’s another steamy morning, here on the island. For the first time in several days I got a full night’s sleep last night. In fact, I slept from about ten PM until 8:30 AM. I needed the sleep after too many nights where I woke in the wee hours and could not get back to sleep. Hopefully I have returned to a normal sleep pattern.

I just spent two hours writing fresh material for my novel-in-progress, which is now at 26,000 words and coming along nicely. Now it’s after eleven AM, and after I finish this post I’ll get busy on chores: laundry, loading the dishwasher, making my bed, and taking care of correspondence.

My ex-partner is coming over after lunch to study for the bar exam he’ll be taking next week. I’m hoping the sky will cloud up so I can get some yard work done this afternoon. I can’t work out in the hot sun at this time of year, it’s not healthy. But if the sky gets cloudy I can get out there.

Tonight I’ll drive into the city to spend the evening with one of my oldest and best friends. We’ll drink a few beers and dine on takeout for our dinner. It’s our weekly ritual and one I enjoy.

Have a nice Thursday, friends.

Sexy, shirtless men; easy Wednesday in store for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I’ve said this many times before: there are certain young men who should simply never wear a shirt, except when going to church or dining in a restaurant. I mean, why cover up all the beautiful flesh?

Check out Mr. Skate Board to the left here. What an amazing body. If he were my boyfriend he’d never wear a shirt at home. Yummy. 😉

Well, I woke at five AM this morning, feeling wide awake after going to bed last night around 9:30. I just could not keep my eyes open after I ate a late dinner. When I woke this morning I knew I wouldn’t go back to sleep, so I got out of bed and brewed some coffee. I made myself breakfast, and then I wrote new material for my novel-in-progress until about seven AM, when I took a three-mile walk on the beach. I can;t say the walk was all that enjoyable. The tide was way up so there wasn’t a decent walking surface. But I did see a partial rainbow that was real pretty.

I was sweating almost all the time I walked at the shore. It was just too steamy down there and there wasn’t a breeze. But I had a nice dip in the Gulf and then I came home and showered on my fenced-in patio, always a pleasant experience.

Check out Mr. Blue Undies to the left here. Gorgeous, eh? 😉

Today will be an easy day for me. I’ll spend the rest of my morning getting some housework done. After lunch I’ll jump into the Element and drive into the city to visit the YMCA for a workout and (hopefully) a lap-swimming session. Then I’ll head back to my island home to spend a quiet evening here. I know that doesn’t sound too exciting, but since I got up so early this morning I’ll probably be in bed by 9:30 again tonight.

All right, everyone, I have things to do, so I will close this post by wishing all of you a wonderful Wednesday, wherever you might be today. Keep smiling. 🙂

Sexy boys and their cameras; productive day for Martin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I’m not a huge fan of selfies, but I like the two I have posted here today. I guess the boy to the left here is from Montreal since that’s a Canadiens hockey jersey in the background. I wonder what he can do with those lovely lips of his? (“Oh, Pierre, don’t stop sucking.”)

Well, I’ve had a productive day. After my mid-morning date (very satisfying) I got myself a haircut on my way home. Then I had lunch at my place. After lunch I met my handyman at Home Depot to buy materials necessary for a project he’s doing for me. Then I hit the wine market on my way home. Around 3:30 PM I took a two-mile run, here on the island, and now I’m cooling off in the A//C with a ceiling fan overhead.

Not bad, eh?

Speaking of not bad, check out Mr. Abs of Steel to the left here. If he were my boyfriend he’d never wear a shirt around the house. 😉

So, I’ve gotten a lot done today and I’m feeling good about it. I don’t have a lot planned for my evening. I’ll drink a few beers and maybe share a bottle of wine with my good friend and neighbor. Later on I might watch a movie on Netflix if I can find something good on streaming. Or maybe I’ll just go to bed and read. I think it’s going to be an early night for me.

Enjoy your Tuesday evening, friends.
