I sure kept busy today: writing all morning, then off to the gym. I hit the beer/wine store on the way home, then my houseguests and I boarded a bus and headed to north Berlin, where we dined with three friends at an all-you-can-eat pizza and salad place. The food was pretty good and the beer on tap was nice and cold.
The rest of the gang (all under 26) decided to party a while, but I grabbed a bus and arrived home about eleven P.M. I am tired.
Today I read some more of Tim Winton’s novel, Breath, and again, I recommend it highly. It’s not a book about sex, by the way. It’s about the way a young man feels in his early teens when he’s trying to understand who he is. And it’s also about surfing, one of my great loves.
Tomorrow is my houseguests’ last full day here. Not sure what we will do, or if they will stay out all night again. Their call, of course.
Good night, all.
