Hi, friends and readers:
I woke in the middle of the night to the sound of rain hammering my roof. It’s been pouring buckets for hours now, looks like it will continue throughout the day. Oh, well, west central Florida needs the water, so it’s a good thing, really.
A good friend is in the hospital right now, so another friend and I will visit the sick guy and we’ll watch the Florida Gator football game together. (Beer’s not allowed in the hospital. How can one watch the Gators without beer? Oh, well …) I’m not really a big football fan, but I spent my undergraduate years at University of Florida and I try to watch the Gator games each fall. They’re always fun.
When I went to school in Gainesville (a hundred years ago, it seems) the Gator football teams were not very good and the stadium was only half full for most games. Now, of course, the Gators win national championships and SEC championships and tickets to any game are hard to get. Amazing.
Have a nice Saturday everyone.
