Hi, friends and readers:
The photo I’ve posted here today gives new meaning to the term “nature lover.” He’s one good reason to become an environmentalist, right? I love nature.
I was out of bed at seven this morning, having a lovely “hotel lobby” breakfast. (Actually, it was pretty good.) The place was full of middle school kids and their teachers. I guess they are here on a field trip for the Shuttle launch. The sky is overcast right now, but it’s predicted to clear up.
Okay, in a few minutes I’ll slip into my wetsuit, then hit the road in search of good waves. I’m guessing the Pier is my best bet. If it’s not good there I’ll head south to Patrick Air Force Base or to Melbourne Beach. Since it’s a Monday the line ups will not be crowded.
I’ll come back to the hotel for lunch and a bit of writing, then hit the waves again this afternoon.
You know, I was all griped out yesterday about not getting a room at my usual hotel. But, really, this place is kind of nice. Funny how things like that work out, eh?
Have a nice Monday, all.
