Happy Valentine’s Day; sunny skies are back …

Hi, friends and readers:

First of all, happy Valentine’s Day to everyone. If you have a sweetie, give him/her a kiss and tell him/her how much you love him/her. It’s important, I think. Much moreso than flowers or candy or jewelry.

I think the photo I’ve posted here this morning is one of the best I have ever put on this blog. How cute and how sweet. Don’t they look happy together?

Guess what? The sun came out this morning! Okay, it’s cold outside, but at least the sky is clear. It’s enough for me. Already, my spirits are lifting.

Two friends came over last night and I took them out for dinner at a nice seafood place. Both has birthdays in recent weeks, so it was a celebration. We consumed two bottles of wine before we left my place, then had another at the restaurant. The food was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. These guys are considerably younger than me — in their late 20s — but they treat me like I am their age and we always find a lot to laugh about.

So, I have a full day of painting ahead of me. I’ll finish my bedroom and get started on the guest bedroom. I have a houseguest from Germany arriving Friday and I want his room to look nice during his stay.

Enjoy your Sunday, all. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.
