Cute guy in a beanie; Martin’s back in Florida …

Hi, friends and readers:

Someone sent me the photo I’ve posted here tonight and I really like it: the expression on the young man’s face, the black A-shirt and his beanie. Cute-cute.

I’m back from Wisconsin this evening, my flight arrived about 6:30 PM. It’s terribly hot and humid in Florida right now, and while I was gone we had a major storm on the island. It blew over two of my potted ficus trees.

Now I’m safe in the air conditioning, drinking a few beers and catching up on correspondence. I’m sorry I did not post earlier today, but I wanted to spend as much time with my friend in Wisconsin as possible before getting on the plane.

As mentioned in last night’s post, I’ve sold a another book to a publishing house I have not worked with before — Eternal Press — and I’ll be pretty busy in the weeks ahead. Eternal Press insists on excellence and the editing process will be detailed, but it’s not a problem for me. I like the back and forth. Some writers hate the editing experience, but I like it. It’s so nice to have another writer critique and polish my work, pointing out flaws I failed to spot when I edited the book myself. I say: bring it on!

Okay, I must make dinner for myself. I have not dined by myself in a week and I feel a bit lonely right now. (Sniffle …)

Enjoy your Saturday night, everyone.
