I’m a sucker for cute, fair-skinned guys with dark hair. So, when a friend sent me the photo I’ve posted here this morning, I knew I had to share it with all of you. Pretty sexy, eh?
I had a great evening last night. A neighbor who’s a good friend brought over a bottle of wine to share. We walked to the beach for sunset and chatted with our neighbors. Then I went home and prepared a light dinner. I watched the film, A Single Man, a third time. It’s such a fine movie. If you haven’t seen it, please do. Colin Firth does a great job in the lead role.
It’s another hot, humid day on the island. I’ll likely stay inside and work on my new story. This evening a friend in Tampa is hosting his annual “Trailer Trash Party.” The guests wear redneck clothing, swill beer and dine on barbeque. It should be fun.
I received a nice comment from a young man in Seattle, Kevin, a University of Washington student who just finished reading my book Love Quest. Kevin said, “I was raised in foster care myself during my high school years, so I was able to relate to Jamie’s situation on a personal level. It’s a great book, thanks for writing it.”
Thanks for writing me, Kevin.
If anyone is interested in reading Love Quest here is where you can purchase it: https://www.nobleromance.com/ItemDisplay.aspx?i=91 And here’s the blurb on the book:
Eighteen year old Jamie Bliss ages out of the foster care system, a victim of repeated sexual abuses. After hustling tricks and living on the street for a time, Jamie enters into a pair of abusive relationships before meeting Evan and Frederick, a gay couple who become Jamie’s mentors. Can they help Jamie overcome his destructive past? His low self esteem? And when Evan introduces Jamie to Evan’s colleague, Jack, a young school teacher who pursues Jamie’s affection, can Jamie open his heart to Jack? Despite the bad cards life has dealt Jamie, is he still capable of love?
All right, I must get busy. Enjoy your Saturday, everyone.
