It’s been one this blog’s busiest days today, all kinds of people are stopping by, downloading photos and checking out my books and offering comments on any number of topics. I feel good about the whole developent of this blog. It started in December 2008. Now it draws seven or eight times the number of visits it did when I began it. Pretty cool, eh?
Tonight, I’m posting a photo of Brazilian fashion model, Francisco Lachowski. Isn’t he hot? I post photos of him all the time, I think he’s one of the sexiest guys around. Has anyone ever met him? If so, what’s he like? He sure looks good wearing nothing but gym shorts.
As Christmas approaches, I think about the many gay men in this country who will not spend Christmas with their families because their families don’t accept the men’s sexual orientation. Many of these men will spend Christmas alone. That is, unless other gay men invite them over for Christmas dinner. If you know a gay man who’ll be alone on Christmas Day, get on the phone right now. You know what you need to do.
Gay men often must create their own families, after their birth families reject them. And that’s okay. We don’t choose our birth families, do we? But we can choose our friends we spend holidays with.
Okay, it’s freezing cold, here on the island tonight. My boyfriend and I will light the fireplace and prepare dinner. We’ll enjoy a bottle of champagne while the chicken roasts, gazing at our lovely Home Depot Christmas tree. (It’s a real tree, of course. A Fraser fir.) After dinner, we’ll watch a Netflix rental called Elf. It’s supposed to be very funny, and it has a Christmas theme.
Enjoy your Monday evening, all.
