Don’t you just love Sunday mornings? It’s often the only morning of the week when you get to snuggle with your lover for a while before the two of you rise and fix breakfast. It’s so nice to hold someone you love and listen to him breathe.
I’m up relatively early this morning while my boyfriend’s still snoozing. He had a long day yesterday at work. I had a busy day myself, but all my activities were fun-related. I watched the Gators defeat UCLA in the NCAA basketball tournament. The game was a real nailbiter. Then I fixed dinner for my boyfriend and two guests, old friends I have known for many years. We watched sunset before dinner.
After dinner, we walked to the seawall on the Intracoastal Waterway to look at the full moon. Did you know last night the moon was closer to Earth than it has been for 19 years? It was beautiful out, not chilly at all. We sat on a bench and swapped stories — a great way to end the evening.
It’s beautiful here on the island this morning. We’ll have a high of 80 degrees F today, with a breeze to keep things cool. The sun is shining and the Gulf is torquoise in color today. I’m sure at one point we’ll take a walk on the beach and check out the Spring Breakers.
Wherever you are, I hope you’re enjoying your Sunday. And if you have a boyfriend, give him a squeeze and a kiss. He deserves them, you know.
