Shirtless boy with auburn hair; smooth butt contest is still running …

Hi, friends and readers:

I’ve always been a sucker for slender, fair-skinned guys with auburn hair, so I think this morning’s photo post is special. What do you think?

I’m up early this morning after calling it an early night last night. I think we were in bed by 10:30 AM. All that traveling we did — to New Smyrna Beach, Key West and Sanibel Island — kind of wore me out. I needed the sleep. But I’m feeling refreshed and ready to work on a new story I’ll submit to Cleis Press for their Best Gay Romance 2012 anthology.

My story titled First Roach Pond appeared in Best Gay Romance 2011. I was honored my story was chosen. Here’s a link if you want to check out the book: http://www.cleispress.com/book_page.php?book_id=392

Maybe I’ll get lucky this year, as well. Who knows? Writing fiction and getting it published is a tricky business, as editors and publishers tend to have varied tastes and varied goals. I’ve been doing this six years now and I still get rejected occasionally. It’s part of the business.

Remember, everyone, the “smooth butt contest” continues to run today, until 11:59 PM. Have a look at yesterday’s post if you don’t know what I’m talking about. Take a few minutes to participate, will you? I’ll announce the results tomorrow.

I’ll write this morning, visit the YMCA with my boyfriend for a workout this afternoon. Tonight we’ll watch the second Tampa Bay Lightning playoff game against Pittsburgh. Not a bad way to spend the day, huh?

Outside, it’s sunny and breezy. We’re headed for a high of 85 degrees F today, good beach weather. I hope wherever you are, you’re having a nice Friday. The weekend’s here, friends.
