Look, if you’re going to have a favorite NHL player, he’d better be cute. And there’s nobody hotter than Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning. (“Steve, how come you never return the e-mails I send to the Lightning website? Too busy practicing?”)
Yeah, that’s Steve at left. Not only is he a great player, but he’s a nice guy, too. I’m hoping he’ll score a goal or two tonight, when the Lightning play the Bruins.
After I got all my nuisance errands and my dental visit over with, my boyfriend and I took a three-mile run on the island. It’s nice out today: about 80 degrees, sunny and breezy and not too humid. The run was easy. I wish it would stay like this a few more weeks before the summer heat arrives, but I doubt it will.
My boyfriend’s in the kitchen making dinner while I write this. A friend’s coming over for dinner and hockey-watching. It’ll be fun. Maybe we’ll visit the beach to watch sunset, before the game begins.
I had a productive morning, writing-wise. My story, Cody Barton, is almost complete and I’m pleased with the way it turned out. I’ll submit the story to Cleis Press for their annual competition. The winners will be published in Best Gay Love Stories 2012. Last year, my story, First Roach Pond, was included in Best Gay Love Stories 2011. Maybe I’ll be lucky again this year.
Okay everyone, enjoy your Tuesday night.
