Everyone like this morning’s photo post? I keep telling myself I must find out where our local swim meets are held. I know I’d enjoy attending. Wouldn’t you?
I’m up reasonably early after a quiet night spent at home. I watched a British movie titled If … filmed in 1968. It starred Malcolm McDowel, who later played the lead role in Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. The setting was an exclusive boarding school for boys in England, a regimented and strict environment. I wouldn’t have cared for it, if I’d been sent there. I enjoyed the film, I guess, but I wouldn’t watch it twice.
Afterward, I read a new book I purchased last week from Amazon. I’ve already finished the first chapter and I’m sorry to say the book’s poorly written. Out of respect for the author, I won’t name him or the book’s title. Oh, well … another ten dollars wasted. I’ll finish the damned thing, but I won’t be happy doing so.
Outside, it’s another steamy Florida day. We’ll have a high temperature of 92. The humidity’s equally high, and I won’t venture out until 5:30 or 6:00 PM, because of the heat. I’ll stay inside and write. I’ll do a bit of housework and read another chapter of the lousy book I just bought. I’ll make a run to the beer/wine market, too. I’m dining with family members tonight, which should be nice.
Wherever you are, I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday.
