Lover boys on a staircase; Martin’s book, “Adrian’s Scar”, selling briskly …

Hi, friends and readers:

What do you think of this morning’s photo post? I’ve never made love on a any kind of staircase, and certainly never a spiral staircase. It doesn’t look too comfortable to me, but it sure looks sexy, doesn’t it? That’s a nice behind on the guy bending backward, too. I give the photo an “A”. How about you?

I’m up early, as usual. I took my morning walk on the beach; it was already hot and sticky at 7:30 AM, but the Gulf was calm and cool and  I enjoyed my swim. Now I’m showered and shaved and I’m enjoying a cup of coffee as I write this.

My sailing story is just about complete. I was stuck here at home all afternoon yesterday, because a repairman was here, so I spent several hours on the story. It turned out quite well, I think. Now, I’ll let it sit a couple of weeks, then come back to it and look for flaws I missed.

I have a lengthy writing project I must get busy on. I wrote a novel about four years ago. It takes place on Florida’s east coast. It’s not a gay novel and it’s not an erotic novel, either. It’s what we call “mainstream fiction.” The entire thing needs revision before I try marketing the book to a NYC agent. Since it’s an 80,000-word novel, this will take a considerable amount of time, but since my boyfriend’s spending summer in Minnesota, I’ll have lots of time to devote to the project. (“Get busy, Martin.)

In other news … I checked the Amazon sales stats for my latest novel, Adrian’s Scar, and it seems to be doing well, both in Europe and the United States. I wasn’t sure how it would sell, since one of the main characters is physically challenged. I’m happy that hasn’t hampered sales. If you want to check it out, you can click on the listing in my blogroll and have a look.

This afternoon, I’ll visit the YMCA for my usual workout and lap-swimming. I think a good friend and I may visit a gay bar in town for happy hour around five PM, always a nice thing to do. I don’t know what I’ll do with my evening, but that’s okay.

It’s the weekend, folks. Get out there and enjoy yourselves.
