What do you think of this morning’s photo post? I think it’s oh-so-sweet. It reminds me of road trips I’d take with my straight, high school and college friends, when one guy would lay his head in another guy’s lap to sleep. It was all so innocent. Or was it? Wouldn’t you like to rest your head on the shirtless guy’s sinewy thighs?
Anyway, I like the way the blond guy’s eyeglasses appear in the photo’s foreground, where he’s put them so they won’t get crushed. (Who dyed his hair, anyway?) Something tells me this photo was candid, not posed, which makes it even better. I hope they had a nice nap …
I was up early this morning, walking the beach at 7:15 AM. It was beautiful down there. The air temperature was around 76 degrees F. A nice breeze blew, and there were hardly any people on the beach. I walked 1-1/2 miles and my knee felt fine. At last, I can get a little exercise. It’s amazing how much better I feel when I get moving.
I’ll spend this morning working on my novel, Dodging a Pearl. I’m about 40% through with revisions to the book; they’re going slow, but I’m getting there. Right now, the length has reached 89,000 words. I suspect it’ll be 95,000 by the time I’ve finished. I hope to be done by the end of September, but it may be mid-October. We’ll see.
I have a few errands to run today, on the west end of town, so I’ll be venturing forth in the Element when afternoon arrives. I’m having lunch with relatives, here on the island. As for tonight … I have no plans, which is fine. Maybe I’ll share a bottle of wine with my neighbor? What a rough life I have ….
Enjoy your Thursday, everyone.
