You know how it is: you’re lying on the sofa and feeling a little horny. Your roommate leaves to drink beer with a few buds and you’re all alone. What to do? Lose those pants and take matters into your own hands. Whoopee!
My boyfriend and I rose about 7:30 this morning, for a walk on the beach. It was beautiful down there, with a nice breeze coming from the east. After the walk, we showered out back and had a tasty breakfast. What a nice way to start the day. All looked promising, and then ….
The power on the island went off. It stayed off for about three hours. Now, that might not seem like a big deal, but it is. I couldn’t post on this blog, couldn’t tend to correspondence, couldn’t make coffee or use the house phone. This is the third time this has happened in the past month; I don’t know what the problem is, but I wish they’d fix it for good.
Okay, something more positive: Tomorrow’s the first day of fall and, hopefully, the start of cooler weather. Fall has always been my favorite season because the summer heat goes away and we have such beautiful breezes. Most days are sunny and dry and some days we turn off the air conditioning so the Gulf breeze can waft through the house. It’s so nice.
I ran a slew of errands this afternoon. My poor Element is panting form all our recent running around. I’ll do a little writing this afternoon, and maybe another crossword puzzle. Tomorrow’s my “Independence Day”, when I get to return to the YMCA for my routine workouts. I can’t wait. I’ll get to ride my bicycle, too. Martin’s back, at last ….
I’m not sure what we’ll do tonight. It’s my boyfriend’s turn to cook dinner, and I’ll make a salad for us. We’ll share a bottle of wine and maybe watch a Netflix movie called I Love You, Philip Morris. Ever heard of it?
Have a nice Tuesday, everyone.
