Hot , shirtless gymnast; baseball’s on tap tonight …

Hi, friends and readers:

What do you think of today’s photo post? When I watch the summer Olympics, my favorite events  are gymnastics and diving, for obvious reasons. The guys are hot and they wear revealing outfits. What other reason to watch?

I’m posting late today. I slept too late this morning. Then I rode my bike thirteen miles, in the heat and humidity. I must admit, I’m a bit worn out from my efforts. We just finished lunch, and we’ll spend the afternoon watching college football on our new LED television. I love the TV; it’s so . . . Twenty-first Century.

Tonight, we’re grilling burgers on charcoal. Another couple will join us. After we dine, we’re attending the Tampa Bay Rays game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Rays have a shot at the wild card for the AL playoffs, so there should be a large crowd, and they’ll be excited.

I loved baseball as a kid; I played almost every day. I was never that good, but I did my best in Little League, and in our neighborhood pickup games. I don’t follow the sport as much as I used to; I never watch baseball on TV. But it’ll be fun to be in the ballpark tonight, cheering on our local team and drinking beer. Some  people don’t like Tropicana Field, but I sure do. It’s too hot in Florida to watch baseball outdoors, at least during the months of May through September. An air conditioned dome works for me.

Have a nice Saturday, everyone.
