“Beautiful Spring Breakers Week” begins; put on your boardshorts …

Hi, friends and readers:

If you follow this site, you know I live on a barrier island, on Florida’s Gulf coast, west of St. Petersburg. Our island is a prime destination for Spring Breakers, both high school and college students.

The first Breakers arrived last weekend, but now they are here in droves, strolling along the shore in their boardshorts, looking oh-so-sexy. The weather is cooperating this year. Each day, the temperature climbs to around 82 degrees. The sun shines and there’s a light breeze.

I’m declaring this week the official Martin Delacroix, “Beautiful Spring Breakers Week”, on this site. I’ll post photos taken by myself and others. They’ll give you a good idea of the sights one sees on my island, at this special time if year.

What do you think of this morning’s post? Isn’t the guy in the middle gorgeous? Note the cell phone clipped to the waistband of his boardshorts? Would you like to give him a call? And note how low his boardshorts ride on his hips. Aye-yi-yi, what a babe.

It’s another beautiful day — sunny and clear. My boyfriend has the day off. I’m sure we’ll watch NCAA basketball tournament games today, followed by a dinner party in the city tonight. Not a bad way to spend the day, huh?

Have a nice Sunday, everyone.
