I like guys in ball caps. Backward, bill-in-front, or even turned sideways, it doesn’t matter. The guys in today’s photo posts look great in theirs, don’t you think?
I rose this morning around 7:30, for my two-mile beach walk. It’s Sunday, which means a lot of beachgoers form town are already out here, to spend the day on our little island. It’s a nice day for the beach — sunny and breezy, and not too humid. I might take a second walk this afternoon, if conditions stay nice. We’ve had a lot of stormy weather the past few days, but now things have calmed down. I have a painting project I’ll spend time on this afternoon, as well. I’m so industrious.
Yesterday’s comment by Matt, the skateboarder, has prompted a lot more skaters to chime in on the subject of gay boys/men participating in the skateboarding subculture. Here are a few snippets:
Cody from Des Moines, IA said, “I’d probably get my ass kicked if I came out to my friends and the skatepark. But I won’t let that keep me from skating. I can bomb in parking garages as good as anyone else, so don’t tell me gay dudes can’t skate. I sure can. I wish I didn’t have to hide my gay side from my friends.”
Evan from New Hampshire told me, “I always look forward to the comments on your site about gay dudes skating. I have skated since I was ten. I just finished my junior year of high school. I agree with Matt. Not all skaters are dumb. I get good grades. I’ll go to Dartmouth after high school, just like my brother. I’m gay and I don’t care who knows it. Screw people who hate on gay skaters. The dudes in Manchester don’t care that I’m gay.”
Thanks to everyone who tossed comments my way. And have a great Sunday, friends.
