It’s officially summer now, the solstice was June 21st. It’s that time of the year guys like to shed their clothes and take a swim in a lake. So, today I’m offering some “guys at lakes” photos, for your enjoyment.
The boy at left seems to be deep in thought. Either that or he’s examining the reed he’s holding in his hands. Who knows? Maybe he’s thinking about his boyfriend and how much he misses him. In any event, I think it’s a nice photo, don’t you?
I had a nice dinner with my childhood friend last night. I grilled salmon and teamed it up with fresh corn on the cob and a fruit salad. Everything was fresh, and oh-so-tasty. Afterward, he took me to see the condominium he’s renting for a year, since his house is selling. The condo has a twelfth-floor view of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Don Cesar Hotel, a gorgeous 1920s structure that is always lit up at night.
I rose early this morning, around 7:30, to take my morning walk on the beach. The tropical storm forming the Gulf of Mexico, just southwest of here, is moving in our direction, so the skies are overcast and everything is damp. I still enjoyed my walk. Three dolphins were swimming in the same direction I was walking, on my way home. They kept surfacing and splashing, and putting on quite a show. There were not many people at the beach, due to the weather. Things were quiet, and the Gulf was calm.
I’ve already finished writing for the day for the day. After I complete this post, I’ll tackle the rest of my painting project next door. Today’s a good day to do the work because it’s cool outside and I’m painting the ceiling and trim on a screened porch. I really don’t mind this kind of work, as long as I’m not sweating like a farm animal. The porch is already looking one hundred percent better than before.
