Sexy guys in blue plaid shirts; busy day for Martin …

Hi, friends and readers:

What is it about blue plaid shirts? They flatter young men in a unique way, and I’m not sure I can explain why. When I was in college, my grandfather bought me a blue plaid shirt, a flannel long-sleeve, that I wore for many years. It was one of my favorite clothing items. But it finally shredded and I had to consign it to the rag bag.

Anyway, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite “sexy guys in blue plaid shirts” photos with you today, to brighten up your Wednesday. I think the photo at left must’ve been taken south of the border. See the yellow sign in the background. It says, “Esplanada.” Plus, the young man has a Latin look to him: dark hair and eyes. He sure looks good in the shirt, doesn’t he? I wonder what his name is, and where he lives. Does he always walk around with his shirt unbuttoned? If not, he should ….

I rose around 7:30 this morning. The sky was overcast when I left for my two-mile beach walk, and a nice breeze blew. These were leftovers from a rain storm we had last night. The coolness was a welcome relief from the heat we’ve endured the past several days. The Gulf water was clear and calm. I saw three snook swimming near the shore, a rarity.

Okay, at left is my second offering of the morning. Doesn’t the young man look handsome in his blue plaid shirt and ball cap. I’m not sure about that stalk of straw sticking out from between his teeth; I guess he lives in farm country. But I do like his thick eyebrows, don’t you?

I have a busy day ahead. I’ve already spent two hours, writing a fresh scene in my work-in-progress. After I finish posting, I’ll tend to a few household chores before fixing lunch. Since it’s Wednesday, I’ll visit the YMCA this afternoon for my usual workout and lap-swimming. Afterward, if the sky clouds up again, I’ll visit the driving range to hit a bucket of balls. Not a bad day so far, eh?

Wherever you are, friends, I hope you’re having a good Wednesday, too.
