As mentioned yesterday, the Olympics are in full swing in London, and while many f the sports involved don’t interest me, I can certainly say the swimming and diving competitions do. Where else can you see so many hot guys wearing such skimpy swimsuits?
I rose early this morning, to walk two miles on the beach with my lovely boyfriend. A nice breeze blew from the west and the Gulf was a perfect temperature for a swim afterward. We have an outdoor shower in our enclosed patio, which makes for a nice finish when we return from the beach. Now, I’m posting and my boyfriend’s reading the newspaper. What a nice way to start the day ….
Yesterday, someone reminded me I had promised, before departing for Maine, that I’d post another “free fiction” offering when I returned to Florida. Well, it wasn’t an empty promise. I’ll put something up before the end of this week. How’s that, readers?
What do you think of the young man at left? He has a lovely bum, doesn’t he? But he simply must stop biting his fingernails. He needs to put something else in his mouth, to satisfy his oral cravings, wouldn’t you agree?
It has been two weeks since I’ve written any fresh material in my new work-in-progress, a short novel set in Tallahassee, FL in the mid-1970s. This poses a bit of a problem for me, as it would for any author. When I take a hiatus from writing, I’ll lose the flow of a story, and then it’ll take me a week or so before I can pick it back up. In the meantime, I sputter at the keyboard. Hey, it’s a necessary process. Even fiction writers need a vacation from their daily work.
Outside, it’s beastly hot, and getting hotter by the hour. But this afternoon, my boyfriend and I are hoping to play a round of golf, if the sky clouds up, and the breeze keeps blowing. We played two rounds in Maine during our visit there, and really enjoyed ourselves. So, let’s hope the clouds show up.
Have a nice Tuesday, everyone. Don’t forget to watch the Olympics.
