Yes, Martin is alive in Wisconsin ….

Hi, friends and readers:

Have you missed me? I certainly have missed you. We’re staying at a fishing camp in the north woods of Wisconsin. It’s beautiful here, very wooded. The people are sweet-natured and the weather is oh-so-cool. I don’t miss Florida’s heat at all. No, I don’t have a teddy-bear to snuggle with, but my boyfriend’s even better.

Still, I don’t know. That teddy bear is kinda cute ….

Hey, while driving this afternoon, we saw a huge deer, a doe, eating blackberries off a bush. How often does one see such things in Florida? This place is so isolated, yet it has all the amenities you need: electricity, indoor plumbing with hot water, and a grocery store is ten minutes down the road.

We spent most of today fishing, with a few catches. But we need to learn how to fish up here. Fresh water fishing is not like salt water at all. It’s okay, the weather was perfect. Our fish camp put together a nice communal dinner tonight, with plenty of fresh fish, sweet corn on the cob, and my signature mac-and-cheese dish.

This site’s staying busy during my absence. Many thanks to everyone who has stopped by. Our isolation up here in Wisconsin is not a bad thing. In fact, I like it. The introspection this place offers will only feed my creative side when I return to Florida and resume my writing.

The weather changes rapidly up here during summer, so I am not sure what we’ll do tomorrow/ Fish or golf? Who knows? But I’m certainly glad to be in Wisconsin tonight. Have a great Tuesday, friends.
