I’m limited on the photos I’ve stored on my laptop, but here are two I’m sure you will enjoy. The young man at left has such pretty eyes, doesn’t he?
It has been a busy day for me. We rose early, to kayak among the mangrove islands at Big Pine Key. I’ll have to say the weather was quite warm and humid, but the sights were pretty.
Around eleven AM, we loaded up the cars and traveled north, to Islamorada, a beautiful tropical island, where we’ve reserved a room for two nights at a cute little motel built in the 1960s. I feel like I’m on the set for Where The Boys Are.
This afternoon, my boyfriend’s boss, who owns a place down here, took us on a two-hour cruise on his powerboat. We visited a reef, where we snorkeled for 45 minutes. We saw barracuda, sea turtles, an eel, and many tropical fish. What a beautiful place. The water was clear as gin, and not choppy at all. The coral formations on the reef were amazing. How I love this place.
Tonight, after we dine out, we’ll visit a local bar for a “full moon” celebration. It should be fun. Wherever you are, I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday night as much as I am.
