A boyfriend and a dock. Living near water is special ….

Hi, friends and readers:

I love the photo I’ve posted here tonight. The young man is seated on a dock, whether it’s facing a river or lake, I cannot tell. But he’s clearly expecting his boyfriend to join him for a bit of nature-watching and quietude.

What could be nicer?

Living near water is an amazing experience. It doesn’t matter if you’re talking saltwater or freshwater. Though I must admit, I like moving water, be it tidal shift or river flow. I like the sound of trickling water and the crash of waves striking a beach. I’m a coastal boy, what can I say?

It’s been a sweet day. I took my 14-mile bike ride. I planted two-dozen flowering plants in pots; they will bloom all winter.  God, I love this time of year in central Florida. If I could, I would host all of you for a weekend. Then you would understand what I feel about coastal living.

It’s Saturday night; I hope you all have an enjoyable evening. I have a flounder filet in the oven, and I must run. Goodnight, friends.
