Martin’s in St. Augustine, among all the teenage boys ….

yellow t-shirtHi, friends and readers:

I’m here in St. Augustine with my boyfriend. It’s a lovely town, really, so full of history. This morning, we toured Castillo de San Marcos (The Castle of St. Mark), an amazing fortress erected by the Spanish in the Seventeenth Century. The structure is, truly, awesome, considering the time at which it was built. And the views into St. Augustine’s harbor were amazing.

This is the oldest city in the United States, and the architecture is impressive, very intimate at times, sometimes colossal. Fine dining’s plentiful; our dinner last night was very good. People are friendly, and you see all types: lots of Europeans, Asians, and folks from New York. Quite the mix.

So, why, you ask, have I posted tonight’s video? Because everywhere here are families with antsy teenage boys who look like they’d rather be back at the hotel, stroking themselves, instead of hanging out with Mom, Dad, and Sis. Remember family vacations?

Have a nice Saturday night, friends.
