After a 2-1/2 hour drive this morning, I am back in Gainesville, FL to visit my beautiful boyfriend. I’m attending the UF Gators versus Arkansas Razorbacks basketball game here tonight, with friends. My boyfriend has to work tonight, but I’ll see him later.
I just returned from a one-hour walk through campus. It’s a breezy, warm afternoon here. A Gator baseball game took place, as well as a Gator tennis tournament. Students wandered about campus in t-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops. When I walked down Fraternity Row, guys were sunning themselves shirtless on decks and patios, and I must say the sights didn’t disappoint. All that sleek flesh got Martin all excited, so I’m having a cold beer to calm my nerves. Aye-yi-yi ….
We are actually running the air conditioning in my boyfriend’s apartment this afternoon; it’s that warm outside. No wonder all the boys had their shirts off. You’ve got to love these Florida winters, you know.
My boyfriend has tomorrow and Monday off from work. We’ll see a Gator baseball game tomorrow. Monday, we’ll play a round of golf, probably at the university’s course, which is very pretty and well-kept.
It’s great being back here, and not just because my boyfriend’s here, or because of all the handsome students. I love the University’s architecture, and right now Formosa azaleas are blooming all over campus. They look like Mardi Gras floats. The dogwoods are blooming, as are the red buds. It’s an explosion of color. All right, everyone. Wherever you are, I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday.
