We are fast approaching the third week in March. If you follow this site, you know I live on a small barrier island west of St. Petersburg, FL. The Gulf of Mexico and a sugar sand beach are 100 yards from my front door, and this time of year our island is invaded by Spring Breakers, mostly college kids from all over the eastern United States. They come here to party and soak up sunshine, and the guys don’t wear much clothing, just boardshorts and flip-flops.
Every year, at this time, I’ll post photos of Spring Breakers, for my readers to enjoy. These photos are always a hit.
I’m just home from my usual three-mile walk on the beach, my first in several days, due to the head cold that has knocked me flat of late. I’m feeling better today, so maybe the worst is behind me, we’ll see.
Today will be a typical Monday for me. I’ll work on a writing project this morning. After lunch, I’ll visit the YMCA for a workout and lap-swimming. Then I’ll hit the golf course to practice my swing and my putting. It’s a beautiful day outdoors: sunny, dry, and still. The temperature today will hover around 75 degrees F, which I consider perfect winter weather. It’s no day to stay indoors, ad I’m sure the Spring Breakers will be crowding my beach this afternoon, once they’ve slept off their hangovers.
Have a nice Monday, friends.
